Terms of Service

You may use Scoop only if you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating or using an account and to keep that information reasonably up to date.

Scoop is a calorie and nutrition tracking app designed to help users log meals, estimate nutrition, review progress, and access optional premium features.

Certain features may include meal logging by text, voice, photo, nutrition label scanning, barcode lookup, AI-assisted food analysis, subscription-based premium access, and optional Apple Health integration.

Scoop is provided for general fitness, wellness, and informational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account or sign in.

Scoop may support sign-in methods including email/password, Sign in with Apple, and Google Sign-In.

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account and for ensuring that your login credentials remain secure.

Some features of Scoop use artificial intelligence and related processing services to analyze text, meal photos, nutrition labels, menu photos, voice input, and similar content that you submit.

To provide these features, your submitted content may be securely processed by our backend infrastructure and by third-party AI service providers, including OpenAI.

AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, approximate, or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming any meal, calorie, macro, or nutrition information before relying on it.

We may require your explicit consent before enabling AI-powered processing features.

Scoop may allow you to connect Apple Health in order to read certain workout and activity-related data, such as calories burned during workouts, if you choose to grant permission.

Apple Health integration is optional. If you do not grant access, the rest of the app may still function, subject to feature availability.

Your use of Apple Health is also subject to Apple's terms, policies, and permission controls.

Scoop may offer auto-renewable subscriptions for premium features.

Where offered, a free trial may automatically convert into a paid subscription unless canceled before the end of the trial period.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account or App Store subscription settings.

Deleting your Scoop account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription.

We may change subscription offerings, pricing, or feature access in the future to the extent permitted by applicable law and platform rules.

You may submit content through the app, including meal photos, food descriptions, voice input, nutrition-related information, profile information, and other content you choose to provide.

You retain ownership of your content. However, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, process, analyze, and use that content solely for the purpose of operating, securing, supporting, improving, and providing the app and its features.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit any content you provide and that your content does not violate applicable law or the rights of others.

You agree not to:

• use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes;
• interfere with or disrupt the app, servers, or related infrastructure;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, accounts, or systems;
• upload malicious code, spam, or content that infringes the rights of others;
• misuse AI features or attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service at scale.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the service in a harmful or abusive way.

Scoop relies on third-party services and infrastructure, which may include Apple, Firebase, Google Sign-In, Apple Health, OpenAI, and other service providers used to operate app functionality.

We are not responsible for the availability, content, policies, or practices of third-party services except as required by law.

Your use of third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The app, including its software, design, branding, visual assets, text, graphics, and related materials, is owned by Nikolai Razakov or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit any part of the app.

You may stop using the app at any time.

If account deletion is made available within the app, you may request deletion of your account and associated app data through the app interface, subject to any legal or operational retention obligations.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create risk for us or other users, or if we are required to do so by law.

Scoop is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.

We do not guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fully accurate, including with respect to AI-generated nutrition estimates or third-party data sources.

Scoop is not a medical device and must not be relied upon as medical, nutritional, or clinical advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nikolai Razakov and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or health outcomes arising out of or related to your use of the app.

If liability cannot be excluded, total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to the app will be limited to the greater of:

• the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months before the claim arose; or
• USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations or exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.

Your continued use of Scoop after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
